ITINERARY:

Day 1
Today we travel to Coffs Harbour our overnight stay.
Day 2
Scenic coastal tour before we discover spectacular hinterland as we travel to the charming and picturesque township of Bellingen where we enjoy Morning tea at the beautiful Old Butter Factory Cafe. Next we visit Dorrigo Rainforest Skywalk, before we tour Armidale. Armidale overnight stay.
Day 3
We make our way to Gulgong where we experience the atmosphere of the well preserved architecture of the 1800’s gold rush Town with around 130 National Trust – listed buildings, many complete with original verandahs and iron-lace Balconies. Admission to the excellent Gulgong Holtermann Museum. Mudgee 2 night stay.
Day 4
This morning we have free time to explore Mudgee. Afternoon tour includes Gooree Parks Wines. Here we’ll enjoy the unique experience of a guided tour through a thoroughbred hourse stud, home to many group one Champions-Wine tasting and afternoon tea.
Day 5
Another tour highlight is Taronga Western Plains Open Range Zoo, which is home to hundreds of rare and endangered animals including giraffes, rhinos, elephants and big cats. Overnight Dubbo/Gilgandra.
Day 6
Today we visit the Iconic Warrumbungle National Park and Siding Spring Exploratory,Australia’s premier optical and infrared Astronomical Observatory. Explore the AAO Dome and the great Telescope. Lightning Ridge – 2 Night Stay.
Day 7
Guided tour of underground opal mine. Another tour highlight is The Chambers Of The Black Hand, You’ll be amazed at the 700 Plus carvings in sandstone, Plus Opal shop. We also visit Bottle House and Heritage cottage. (Enclosed Footwear required)
Day 8
Today we journey to Moree, arriving at Goondiwindi.
Day 9
We are homeward bound, arriving at Toowoomba – Lunch Included.
